Two Brief Updates/Teasers

First: I remembered the name of the film! All by myself! Just minutes ago! Hooray!

I'm beat, though, so the promised post will have to wait a bit longer. But here are two tidbits:

1) I was deluded about Roy Scheider being in it. It's someone completely different and un-Roy-Scheider-like.

2) It was six letters, not five.

(That doesn't help you a lot, does it?)

Second: The link to the footage of my TV appearance has now been fixed, thanks entirely to my not-only-incredibly-handsome-but-also-wonderfully-effectual husband. (A phone call from me does nothing; a phone call from him gets a return call, a solution, and an I'm-just-confirming-the-problem-has-been-solved call.)

And yes, in my case, the camera appears to have added 10 pounds per second of screen time. (If you know me at all, you know that I am not the weight-conscious type, but this is just ridiculous. I'm not on that many steroids.)

Well, I still can't see the video because it says "you don't have the right plug-in but go to this link, etc"
and when you do it says that this page in no longer
available etc. etc.

So, maybe I'll just look at the video someone has
saved on Tivo?????

it wasn't La jette, was it? that was the film Bruce willis remade as 12 monkeys a boy sees a man's death years later, he relives the death which occurs on a jetty, and realizes he saw himself. it doesn't do it justice it was marketed by Janus--about 19 mins long
ive been head down on the taxes, and finally got them to h&r block she said i was well organized only a few strings still flapping loose and i worked on them today, and tried to recover some sanity
nothng to what you're dealing with you postings have gone through poetry, and through vivid non-fiction narrative, and into a kind of incredible, breathtaking description that goes from crimping my stomach and heart to making me laugh out loud
of course, i'm not sure what goes with purple, re the kitchen renovation
it doesn't rhyme with anything either
but i'm suggesting an assyrian frieze out of the william morris cschool: wallpaper from bradley and bradley (on the web) which has the most gorgeous arts and crafts - prairie school wallpaper i've ever seen if and wen i ever get a larger apt, that's what i want; some of their landscape friezes to frame as prints worth a look am in baltimore, having lost jimmy as a helper there's little i can do in yupper m until the muscle is scrutinized by the orthopedic surgeon i didn't see the moon sliver--it appears westish here as a sliver, and is usually well up before i see it early in the cycle i thought i had it all figured; get a garage for 65 bucks a month, get jimmy to help me move the things i want for the apt up here, get a sense of accomplishment at emptying the house zip he's coming to ny to do an off broadway show i'll find someone else, i'm sure, but haven't the energy till after this apt on tues, so am going to write my brains out meanwhile
tonight i'm "cooking" as a treat a new entirely orgainic pizza that is marketed by giant as mediterranean but is really (barbara will laugh) a not-bad-for-$4 version of a thing we both fell in love with in italy--artichokes, green pappers, ripe olives and tomatoes on a thin crust with just enough cheeses to perk it then i'm going to watch possession, a film which always comforts me because of the library scenes it reminds me of the happy research time in england it reminds me there is life after estates and taxes and getting rid of the marlboro millstone when i came back to balt my garden plot was full of violets; the deep blue purple and the fragrant white, as well as grape hyacinths; so i took si out and we sat in the sun and thought no thoughts (me) and catnip thoughts (him; i planted him catnip out there first thing, and he goes right to it as a ritual in his out times) course his desire for a out time started at 4 this morning, and though i didn't concede to his demand, i don't think i'll be up very late tonight
